Butternut Apple Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 medium butternut squash peeled, seeded, cubed
 - 4 red apple peeled, seeded, cubed
 - 1/2 cup water put more (or less) to desired consistency
 - 3 tablespoon organic coconut oil virgin, cold pressed, unrefined
 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
 - 1 pinch Pink Himalayan Salt
 
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a crockpot and let it cook until squash and apples are fully cooked.
 - With a handheld blender, puree mixture to desired consistency. Once cooled, you may freeze it in individual portions.
 
Notes
To improve the protein profile of this breakfast, I recommend adding a scoop of collagen powder per portion at serving time.  I recommend "Collagen Peptides" by Vital Proteins.
